TARANAKI LAND BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING. The usual monthly meeting of the Taranaki Land Board was held on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the 23rd to the 26tli instants. Present: Messrs. W. D. Annit (chairman), S. Blake, N. lb Cleland, C. J. Ryan and !H. A. Foreman. 'J lie following transfers were approved: Sections 40 and 42, block VI, Xgatimam Survey 'Districts, W. A Stewart to S. G. Stoekley; section 28, block XVI, Huiroa Survey Districts. G. Wylie to A. M. Walter; section 14, l lock XII, Ngaire S.D. and Sub. 2 of section 15, block XII. Ngatimaru S.D. executors of K. Forrester (dec’d) ti Fd ward Forrester.
The following transfers were refus ed: Sections 1 and 2, block V, Egmont S.D., W. B. Card lo F. 11. Mansell and M. Bebbington ;i sections 22 and 23, block IV, Oniona S.D., Isobel Worthingl on to G. F. Court. The following arbitrators were appointed in connection with tlie renewal cf Education leases: —Tf. V. Chatterten, section 8, block V, Ngatimaru S.D., F. L. Ward, section 5 and part section 56, block VI, Ngaire S.D. Thirtv-seven applications under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Acts wore considered and af, these five applications for advances for stock or improvements were recommended and two refused; one application to transfer was recommended and one refused.
Fifty-two applications under the Deteriorated Lands Aet, were dealt, with and various recommendations in regard to reduction in capital value, reclassification of land, remission of rental arid advances for manure, etc., were agreed to.
