PERSONAL ITEMS.
At the Hawera police station this afternoon, a presentation of a marble eight-day clock was made on behalf of the local force by Sergeant J. Henry to Constable P. J. Mullan, on the occasion of his approaching marriage. Sergeant Henry referred to the zealous manner in which Constable Mullan had carried out his work. Constable F. Pidgeon and Mr. Gibb, Child Welfare Officer, also spoke. Constable Mullan suitably replied.
