With the flotation of the Commonwealth 40,000,000 dollars loan resulting in an unequalled success, observers here believe that the price of the issue will rise and should reach 98J, possibly going higher within a few months. Excellent Australian credit is assured of a receptive market for further Commonwealth issues, which are expected to l>e placed’ here in the future. The best opinions, however, are inclined to believe that- New York will not supplant London as the market for Australian flotations, but rather that both markets will tend to become equally important to the Commonwealth.
