PREPARATIONS BEING MADE. TOM MANN’S DECLARATION. BRITAIN’S OBJECTIVE. iY CABLE -press association —COPYRIGHT. Received 10.40 a.in. to-day, LONDON, Aug. 28. The national minority movement’s annual conterence was held at Battersea, 698 delegates being present, including many women. The platform was draped with crimson flags bearing Chinese and Russian inscriptions. Mr Ton* Mann, presiding, declared that another world war was being prepared for. .Britain was definitely and systematically aiming at securing the largest possible number of naval bases and aerodromes, with a view of making a dead set against the Soviet. Capitalist and imperialist forces were using border states to prepare for an onslaught upon Russia. It was the duty of the movement to render such a war impossible. , The meeting carried a resolution denouncing the execution of Sacco and Vanzett? as one of capitalism’s most hideous crimes. They were only executed because they challenged capitalist society; Members of the conference stood a minute to mark their sympathy With their dead comrades. —“Sydney Sun cable
