In July—a slump month in the motor trade—Essex Super Six not only topped New Zealand Sales, but established a new record in its own history. Mpre Essex Super-Sixes were sold in New Zealand last month than have ever been sold in any one month previously—not excluding the finest months of summer in years when business was good and money plentiful. There is only one reason for this—VALUE—sheer, unmistakable VALUE. Superlatives did not sell these Super - Sixes ! Appearance attracted, performance convinced. To the present-day motorist there is no substitute for performance, so Hudson and Essex offer none. Out of fifty odd different makes of cars offered to the New Zealand public, 867 cars were bought during July. Of this number, 184 were Super>Sixes; that is, one out of every five cars purchased was either Hudson or Essex. Many of the other cars were CHEAPER than Essex —which drives hard home the fact that motorists to-day are not buying on PRICE, but on the only sound basis for buying anything, any time —VALUE. VALUE!
