TARANAKI TOURISTS. PROSPECTS FOR TO-MORROW, (By Telegraph.—Special Rejx>rter). CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 26. Christchurch is experiencing the first really fine day for weeks, and it is hoped it auguers well ,for to-mor-row’s match with Canterbury. There is keen interest in Rugby circles in the meeting of these provinces, and the tourists are confidently regarded as likelv to he a hard proposition for the Plains team. A long spell of wet weather has made the ground at Lancaster Park heavy. The only change in the Taranaki team is that Medleyreplaces Goodwin on the wing. The team had a run in Hag’ey Park this morning, and this afternoon they are being taken for an ob sea-vat ion. tour round the environs of the city.
