Members of the Savage Chib, to the number of nearly fifty, tripped to New Plymouth on Saturday evening to return the call made by the club in that town some weeks ago. Rangatiia \V. G. Simpson, of ITawera, was duly installed in the chair with appropriate emblems and had charge of the korero for the evening. The programme, ite ms grave and gay, was much enjoyed by the large company present, who gave the artists a thoroughly “live” reception. In a good list of events the looaiists were much appreciated up north.
