Owinf to tlie inclemency of-the weather, the concert which was to ■have been given to-night by the Manrna State School children has been postponed until Tuesday. 23rd August. The adjourned meeting called with the object of forming a branch of the Legion of Frontiersmen at Man am wa s held on Wednesday night, when there was a good attendance. Lieut. C. N. Vickridge and Quarter-master Veitch, of the Ohawe troop, attended, and gave an outline of the aims of the Legion and the work of the troops. Eventually a troop was formed, and Mr J. Allen was apopinted O.C. Nine names were handed in. A social evening to welcome the troop will be held shortly.
