GUTTING DOWN BAGGAGE. FRINGES- AND PREMIER ON TOUR. LONDON, July 30. Tire- parties of the Prince of Wales and Premier Stanley Baldwin for their Canadian tour, each number fifteen, persons. Sir Lionel Halsey, controller of t-he Prince’s household, Brig. Gen. G. H. Troittier, Gapt. Alan Lasoelles . and Mia-jor the Hon. Piers Leigh, are in attendance on the P-rince and the party also includes the Prince’s _ two valets, servants of members of his staff and two Scotland Yard detectives. The Prince of Wales' and Prince George will slia-re valets so as to restrict the -size of the party, and no footmen will be taken along. “Travel light.” is the slogan of the Prince of Wales, his brother, Prince George. Premier Baldwin and most of the others -of the party of thirty. The total number of pieces of baggage sent loaded on the steamer Empress of Australia -is 100. The Prince of Wales’ baggage _ includes two uniforms, while Prince George’s hais one nlaval outfit. Both through previous experience, have confined the rest of their needs to -an absolute minimum.
Premier Baldwin will have many official functions to attend, but he managed to get his things into two trunks, a -small grip and hat box, stowing away several pipes in -odd corners at the last moment. Airis. Baldwin packed her wardrobe -into three trunks.
