WAGES IN U.S.A.
AN INCREASE IN TEN YEARS. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION —COPYRIGHT. Received 11.45 a.m. to-day. GENEVA, Aug. 18. The Interniaitiionail Labour office has issued .statistics of the United States wages for the lust ten yeans, showing the total wages paid had increased 175 per cent. The average annual wage increased from £ll6 to £253, whereas the cost of living increased only 31 per cent.
