Lang, Premier of New South Wales, has increased, the Government grant to Captain Kingsford Smith and Lieut. Anderson, .who are now in San Francisco awaiting their flight to Australia, from £3500 to £4500, so that a Fokker ’plane owned by Captain Wilkins can he purchased. The Vacuum Oil Company has cabled to America that the Fokker he purchased for £5500 provided it was fitted to undertake the strenuous transpacific flight.
