ADMIN I STRATTON M A TTERS. INVERCARGILL, Aug. 17. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Boxing Association was hold today, Mr. S. A. Strickland presiding. Delegates were present from WelTiiigton, Marlborough, Taumarunui, Christchurch, Gisborne, Greymouth, Hawke’s Bay, Manawatu, Napier, North Otago, Otago and Bluff. It was decided that before a license is issued a professional boxer must furnish the council with a certificate of competency issued by the association where he is resident. A Hawke’s Bay remit advocating the limitation of purses to £l5O for professional bouts, save in special circumstances, and then only with the concurrence of the New Zealand Association, was carried. The election of officers resulted : President. Air. E. A. Craig (Auckland); council. Messrs. P. F. McEvedy. D. R. Uoggard. J. R. Simpson, E. Blundell, E. A. Dawson, J. W. Heenan, Colonel H. St. J. Bee re. It was decided to hold the 1928 championships at Auckland.
