It is pleasing to* report an increase in the product lion of hutter-fat of 10.2 per cent. The quality of our cheese has also been much improved. Advances for butter-fat supplied were considerably in advance of most factories in this district. Payments have been equalised at l*s 4d per lb. by a further payment made on August 20. Ghees© stocks have been valued at 7id per lb f.o.b. after allowing for shrinkage. Account sales to hand show this Maine to be well maintained, and should the market remain firm it is anticipated a further sum will be available for distribution. Provision has been made for a dividend of 5 tier cent, on paid-up shares. The store shows a net profit of £1396 18s 7d, which, considering the decreased turnover, must be regarded as satisfactory. ■ This amount has been appropriated in the- usual manner. Tlie retiring directors are Messrs. E. T. Burke and A. H. Christie. who retire by rotation and, being eligible, offer themselves for re-election. STATISTICS.
