Nash (Wellington), tAvo of the Ncav Zealand delegates to the conference on Pacific relations at Honolulu, arrived by the Aorangi on Sunday, also the lion. Air. Eggleton and Professor Blakeslee. the latter one of the American representatives. Air. Cocker said that the conference had been very much AA-orth Avhile. The British group. though numerically much smaller than some of the others, had exercised as strong an influence as ai.v. The Chinese group AA-ere all able men, all of the Nationalist party and the moderation with Avliieh they expressed their a-'icaa-s Avas surprising. Air. Nash helieA-es the solution of the Chinese problem will be found, as far as outside affairs of the country are concerned. Professor Blakeslee considered that New Zealand Avas Avell represented. Dr. Buck particularly charmed the conference Avith his speeches, which A\-ere full of AA-it and poetry. The institute passed no definite resolutions, but frankly exchanged \'ieA\\s, Avith the leading Chinese and Japanese and came to understand the problems of the Pacific.
