Japan's insistence on the observance of her treaty rights in Manchuria, and her plans tending to a gieater absorption of the vast unoccupied territoria in Manchuria and Alongolia, are meeting with a Manchurian boycott, launched by the Mukden Chamber ot Commerce, and are leading to the belief that an open clash i.s not lar distant. The Mukden Chamber of Commerce proclaimed that Manchurians must resist at any cost Japan’s plan to make Manchuria another East, India. They must prevent Japan establishing a consulate and a colony at the confluence of the Amur and Sungari rivers; they must frustrate Japan’s policy to submerge the Manchurians, which policy threatens the peace of Asia ancl possibly of the world. The Japanese Consul-General in Mukden reports that the anti-Japanese boycott is intensifying, and he asks daily for instructions. —“Sydney Sun” cable.
