’PLANE TRAVELS 173 MILES PER HOUR. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COP YRIGHT. Received 2.15 p.m. to-dav. LONDON, July 31. Captain Broad flew from London to Nottingham in 39min olsec., at the astonishing speed of 173 miles per hour, the R.A.C. rating his engine at 35 horse-power.
