STOCK MARKETS.
CONTINUED GOOD TONE. ALL CLASSES IN DEMAND. It is. good to note that the conditions in the stock market continue good and the prospects ail round are bright, with a general rising tendency. The indications in dairy produce are that prices will go a good deal higher, and already firm offers have bceu received that null enable a pay-out to be made much above last season’s figures. This is very heartening and very good news for the dairy farmer and the community generally. There is a lob of business being done in cattle, but they are not easy to get, and consequently prices favour the sellers. A fair number are still going to the works, and those at Patea are still busy. Sheep are eagerly sought by buyers, and several large lines have gone to clients, outside the province. A feature of the market j ust now is the pig business, and the fairs are offering large numbers and bringing good prices to vendors*. The sale yesterday showed a keen demand for; pedigree, boars and sows, and good firm prices were obtained. Stores are also in request and are consequently bringing good money. There will be several other big fairs in the next few days. A type of horse that always draws buyers where quality and condition are evident is the utility farm horse, and at a recent house fair it was shown that horses of th|at description will always be needed.
