LANDING PLACES IN EVERY TOWN.
PROPOSAL OF PRESIDENT COOLIDGE.
iY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. NEW YORK, July 26. President Coolidge. intends to pursue a policy of encouraging every city and town in the United States to establish its own airport. The President, has issued: orders to the Commerce Department and the Aviation Board to assist in promoting in every possible way the creation of suitable commercial landing fields. He holds the view that the Federal Government cannot appropriate funds for such fields; hut will leave the establishment to the localities, while the Federal Government devotes itself to the general promotion of aviation.
