During the debate on the Board of Trade in the House of Commons, the Rt Hon. Sir Robert Horne, emphasised that but for Dominion and colonial trade, the existing economic position in Britain would infinitely become worse. The balance of trade was worse than it had been at any previous time. M.r. Lloyd George urged the necessity for- British merchants having good agents in the Dominions. He said the nation lost heavily in regard to the sale of motors because during the war the heist agents were captured by America. . , _ . Sir P. Cunliffe Lister said that British manufacturers should hunt out the buyers, if firms cannot afford individual selling agents abroad, they should combine and form a selling agency.
