At a meeting of the New South Wales Association, it was announced that last year’s surplus revenue was £1315, a decrease of £6OO , as compared with the previous year. SOME HARD HITTING. Received 12.20 p.m. to-day. LONDON. July 25. In the test match, England v. the Rest, the second wicket of England’s innings added 317 in 265 minutes. Sutcliffe being caught in longfield. He hit four sixes, 17 fours and was in 345 minutes. With Hammond he put on 76 in fifty-five minutes. Hallows hit one six and nine fours. —A.P.A. and “Sun.”
