FRASER ROAD
(From Our Own Correspondent..; On Friday last the ladies on Fraser Road connected with live Church of England organised an evening in aid of church finances. It is four years since a similar effort was held, theie being no public hall available, so that as large a crowd as the solioo 1 could accommodate assembled intent on enjoying themseive.-s. JTor nearly an hour the school children sang in their best form rounds, part songs, etc., and were heartily applauded. Then followed a progressive euchre party, Miss M. D. Death and Mr. G Swan being the prize-winners. Bv this time supper wfas served, after which many lingered to a later hour to 'near wireless concerts from Australian stations. Here Air. W. Da-vy, of Hawera, kindly gave his services. Tire evening, was successful in every wav.
