Mr. Giles's trip As financed by Mr. W. Rosewarne, a Detroit contractor. Mr. Giles was born -in Australia. Hi.s ’plane, Miss Bluebird, hi equipped with Wright motors and storage tanks for six hundred gallons of gasoline. The longest leg of the journey, Hawaii to Brisbane, is 4809 miles, wliioh is the farthest- non-stop flight ever yet attempted. Commenting on the trip, Mr. Giles said that the main object was to promote a better feeling between Australia -and America. “I. am also a
