LICENSING BILL

NO SIGN AT PRESENT

BY TELEGRAPH—SPECIAL TO THE STAR WELLINGTON, July 20.

It is an interesting fact about the Government caucus to-day that while the legislation of the session was discussed at some length, and the Ministers gave their supporters a good deal of interesting information, no word was said' about tlie Licensing Bill, which in any event would be a non-party measure. Members are of the opinion that the Prime Minister has taken this difficult matter into his own hands, but has not yet reached the stage of completing his proposals, so that it will be much later in the •session before the Bill is introduced.
