The question of constructing a bridge across the Waiteinata harbour, which has received a considerable amount of attention within the past few years, has claimed the- careful consideration of Alessrs. Holgate and Luke, civil engineers, of Wellington, who have carried out painstaking investigations in connection with (he scheme. The engineers are of opinion that an imposing structure could lie erected from a point near the \A estern Wharf to Stokes Point, Xorthcote, at a total cost of £1,018.OIK), the annual charge spread over a period of 45 years being £59.873. —“Herald.” A motor van owned and driven hv Joseph Perry with four passengers and it. motor truck loaded with road metal had an end-on collision near Now Lynn yesterday ,stated an Auckland Press Association message. Three of the passengers, Jack Perry, brother of the driver, Aliss Kathleen Perry, .and Air. Wlißehouse were conveyed to the hospital, but their injuries were slight. Both vehicles were considerably damaged .
