In reference to the incident at Dunedin, yvhen Edmonds was ordered off the field by the referee,, the manager of the Canadian team had expressed the yvish that the council should deal with the matter. It yvas decided that no further action was needed. The Auckland Association wrote expressing the belief that the council yvas not making every endeavour to win the test matches, and suggesting the appointment of Air P. Neisham as trainer and manager for the last test. The council scoffed at the idea of not trving to yvin the* matches, but agreed to appoint Mr Neisham, if he could play yvith the team, from Monday to Saturday. NEWCASTLE DEFEAT CHINESE. SYDNEY.
