WAIKATO MARKET REPORT. The Waikato Farmers Co-op. Auctioneering; Co., Ltd., report: — Reef.—-There is a tendency for the market to improve, more especially for both prime ox and cow beef, a good deal of plain and unfinished coining forward. ' Exporters are sti’-l operating, • but vendors, prefer in most cases to hold for a further rise. Fat sheep.—The market is firm for all classes of fats. Prices are on the improve, with every prospect- of a further rise. Pigs.—Baconers and porker continue to meet with good competition without any improvement in prices. Good yarding.s of stores and weatiers are coining on the market, and are meeting with good competition at high prices so early in the season. dairy produce prices. The New Zealand Dairy Produce Board has received the following market- report from the London agency, dated July 8, 1927 : BUTTER. New Zealand. —Salted, 160 s to 1625; unsalted. 16->s to 170 s. Market firm, but unsalted and outport- butter jdow. Australian. —Finest salted, 158 s to 1625; un salted. 162 s to 1645. Argentine. —Finest., 160 s to 16-ls.^ Irish creamery.-—-Salted. 152 s to 1545, nasal ted 156 s to 1595. Dutch.—Unsa.lted, 156 - to 160 s. Danish —(Last quotation down to 158=0. 160 s to 1625. Slow sale all Continental butters. Deliveries N.Z. butter from pubic stores at nresent running between 1100 and 1300 tons weekly. CHEESE. New Zealand. —White, 84s to 86s; coloured. 85s to 86,5. Market firm. Australian. —White. 82s to 83s ; coloured, 83s to 84s. Caumdian. —Old s<?a.son w.liite, IOLs xo 104 s. coloured 100 s; new -season quoted 86s c.i.f.. very little business. English.—Finest farmers’, 100 s to 106 s. OPOSSUM SKINS. Owing to the lack of demand, the tallow -sales were not- held. At the wool sales there was a splendid selection of New Zealand crossbreds and stipes, and a small -supply of merinos. Yorkshire mien were- the principal operators, and prices were maintained.
