G. Armstrong Whitworth Co. to determine whet be r it is entitled to enter into any further agreements with craft unions ami a general labourers’ union other than the New Zealand Workers’ UnionA further application was made- to the effect that in conncotion, with the agreement between the New Zealand Workers’ Union anil the company dated May, 1927, the October time for filing an industrial agreement he extended till July 13. 1927. The application was made under .section 13(5 of the Industrial Conciliation cViitl Arbitration Act, 1923. The parties represented included the Engineering Union. Labourers’ 1 nion an<l the Now Zealand Workers’ Union. Mr. Hammond, for the company, said that it stood rigidly by any agreement made. It was bound to recognise the New Zealand Workers’ Union in respect to all classes of work mentioned in the agreement.
