The first supplementary payment of £350,000 in respect of the second butter pool has been made by the Dairy Board to the factories. This brings the amount approximately to Is 2 1-Sd pe r lb. It is expected that a further payment of about seven-eighths of a penny per lb may be made, if the present market levels continue.

A .supplementary payment of £115.000 on cheese was also made, but nothing further can be reckoned ■ n just vet.
