PERSONAL ITEMS.
On the eve of her departure from Hawera to take up an appointment at the Dannevirke Hospital, Miss I. McBeth, who for some time was on the staff of the Hawera Hospital, was met by a numoer of her fellow nurses at a musical evening. She was made the recipient of a handsome brush and comb. Mr F. A. L. Hunt, of Wellington) arrived on a visit to Hawera yesterday. He is staving at the Central Hotel. Mr A. Brown, of Hawera, was a passenger by the south express this nionnm.£ on a visit to Wellington. Mr H. G. Dickie. M.P., left by the outli express for Wellington to-day. Air and Mrs J. M. Townsend, oi Hawera, who- are .proceeding on a visit to England, were passengers on the south, express tlus morning en. .route for Auckland. On Friday they are to sail from the northern port for Southampton on the s.s. llemuera, and expect to return to Hawera. towards the end of December. Air P. W. Lamb, manager of the Hawera. Electric Light Co., will leave Hawera in a week’s time on a holiday visit to Australia. He anticipates being away for a month, or six weeks. Air Elston, advance agent for the Renee Kelly Company, arrived in Hawera last evening, accompanied by Airs Elston. Thcv are, among the guests at the Central.
