WHAKAMARA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
The local hall was the scene of a big euchre party on Friday evening. A large crowd was in attendance, including several visitors from Hawera, and an enjoyable evening was spent. The ladies’ prize, an afternoon tea set, was won by Airs. 0. Candy, and the men’s was won bv Air. J. Potter. Dancing followed the euchre, the music being supplied by Airs. Gulliver, Airs. Langley, and ,A!r. Herbert. The M’s.C. for the evening were Air. T. Davies and Air. J. Potter.
