A report having appeared iu this morning’s Taranaki Daily News to the effect that the four chains broke and a chair fell to the ground while the machine was in motion, we wish to contradict it. The facts are that no chair fell to the ground; only one split link came undone iu one chain, the other three remained intact, and as the machine was just starting and only (lid three turns round, it was stopped immediately.
