A BEAR GARDEN.

UNRULY COMMITTEE MEN. MEETING ENDS IN DISORDER. • BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received 11.20 a.m. to-day. LONDON, June 30. The standing committee of the House of Commons on the Audit Bill became a bear garden when the chairman, Sir Cyril Cobb, accepted a motion for the closure, thus obstructing a Labour member, who accused him of partisanship. Mr Gibbons (Labour) said: “You are doing what you’re told; you’re a master’s voice record.”

Mr Hansbury (Labour) declared: “This is a price of your peerage; you’re selling your soul.” The Hon. Neville Chamberlain was unable to restore calm and the committee adjourned in disorder.
