The death occurred at Auckland Hospital this morning .of Charles Hinton, the young mail who was knocked down by a truck at the railway siding at Otahuhu, a, month .ago.
MAORI KILLED WHILE BUSHFELLING. DARGARVILLiE, June 30. A Maori named Rene Gaissiitly, while engaged .i n busibielluig at V. Hi orison s bush, Maropiu, yesterday, met wutli an accident which ended fa,tally last night .in the Tekoporu Hospital. Deceased and a gang of men were scarfing a tree when it split and a piece knocked Cassidy down land he fell under the tree. His mates freed him and carried hilini a mile to a sledge. He was taken to a train which carried him to Darganvalle whence he was conveyed by car t'> the hospital. His injuries were so terrible that it wraei .seen that there was little hope, but he lived ten hours. Leaves a widow and family.
