AUCTIONEERS' NOTE. These cattle are well known as being one of the best producing herds on the Waimate Plains. Mr. Joyce has culled heavily every year and has always bought the highest priced cows. For several seasons past this herd has averaged over 3001 b of butter-fat per cow, factory returns. The cows are all deep-bodied cattle, well into the Jersey, and are in the pink of condition. They will compare more than favourably with any herd ’offered this season. The vendor has sold his farm and is leaving South Taranaki altogether. This is an exceptional chance for any dairyman of securing cattle of the best butter-fat strains.

All are in splendid condition and due to calve in July and August to pedigree Jersey bulls (see further remarks below). .7 choice Jersey heifers (in calf) WITH SLIGHT RESERVE. swingletrees, GOO-gallou tank (new), skim milk vat, 10 milk cans, 30cwt waggon (nearly new, slight reserve), 20 white leghorn hens, 5 turkeys, and usual farm sundries. It will be seen the heed is a large one, and to return last season an average of 2851 b fat per cow factory figures, is ill itself striking evidence of its producing qualities. Half of the herd during that period comprised heifers and second culvers. Individually the cows are a splendid lot, 55 being Jerseys and Jersey Cross, all young and in great condition.
