RAILWAY OFFICERS.
CONFERENCE IN DOMINION. (UY TULKmurtl -PRESS ASSOCIATION. I WELLINGTON, June 23. The annual conference of railway officers concluded oil Wednesday. The following officers were elected: — .I’resident, Al r. Stanley (Wellington); vice-presidents: Messrs. Skinner, Carroll, McAlvon, and Barnes; executive com ini ttee: Messrs. Tiiidlaysun, Godley, MacDonald, Broudis, Bardie, Henderson. Risen; general treasurer, Mr. Barclay; auditors! Messrs. Alington and Bidden.
The new building scheme was fully discussed and the conference autlioriseii the com mill ee tc. proceed with the proposal, subject To satisfactory financial arrangement being made. During the conference the Railway Board was met and a number of general matters affecting the service were discussed.
