GOOD DAIRY SALE. Despite the inclement weather and the numerous dairy sales at Manaia, Newton King Ltd. report that they conducted a most successful clearing sale at Otakeho yesterday, on account of Mr W. A. Yeryv. The cows maintained a very even price throughout, the top price being £l3, while the majority sold from £lO to £l2 ,10s; two old cows brought £4 10s and £7 .10s. The whole herd of springing cows average the very satisfactory sum of £lO 2s per head. A feature of" the sale was when 10 yearling Jersey heifers were knocked down under the hammer at £5 2s each, which must constitute a record for this season. Implements and sundries realised satisfactory prices.
