Sir, —Regarding the written statement supp ie.d to the D.0.A., Hawera, by Henry Hearn, a bankrupt, a copy of which appeared in your issue of the 20th in.st.. and which contained certain statements concerning ourselves, these statements are absolutely contrary to fact, and we consider that before allegations of this description concerning reputable .business people are reported and against which they apparently have no redress, that they should lie verified bv the proper authorities. _ In fairness to oursa’ves, would you kindly publish this disclaimer?—We are, etc., MORRISSEY BROS.
