Giving evidence before the Commonwealth Film Commission, Mr Raymond Hollis, a film producer, declared that the Australasian Films Co. had crushed the production of films in Australia. Local pictures could be produced at a handsome profit, but all avenues for relea.se of the pictures were cut off. He had produced a film in New Zealand, but found the company had interests -in New Zealand, and he could not release the picture there.
