Janiero tlrat the Portuguese airman Debeires is sale, but- has .lost his aeroplane in the sn>rm. He will return to Europe, by steamer with his three companions. He left Para tor Georgetown on June 7 and. after dying 30 miles, an engine mishap compelled them to descend m the sea. When" Debeires Was about to resume the flight, a huge wave engulfed the 'plane, wrecking it completely. The men hung tenaciously for three hours to the wreckage with the waves washing over them, until they were rescued by a fishing boat.
