MANAIA TOWN COWS.

(To the Editor). Sir, —As you have taken a letter against Mr. limes under the shelter of i a jiom de plume, a few lines from me may enlighten your renders. 1 am a bit with Mr. liiness and a bit with “Motorist.” In Mr.l lnnes’s letter of Friday last, it was 4 cite evident that he was just warning stock owners against their abuse of the privileges given to them by the Manaia Town Board, only Mr. in lies has made a mistake, which .so far he lias not rectified. He stated that cows were licensed between r ‘sunset and sunrise,” which should have read between “sunrise and sunset.” However owners of stock know quite well which way it should have lead, and 1 am prepared to back aip Mr. Innes to abate the nuisance. 1 .am also a bit with “Motorist,” as 1 have never had the courage or the pluck to sign my name to a letter through the press, so you will excuse my hiding behind the non de plume of yours etc., CYCLIST.
