Canada, at this stage, were pressing Boiler, and Gibson was injured and carried off. A minute or to later, however. he returned to the field and the visitors' goal was threatened, but Tait gave relief. On resumption of play the Canadians attacked strongly, hut Archibald saved well. Play oscillated up and down the field for some time, both sides trying hard to score, but the defence was too sound.
