DUNEDIN RUNNER SHOWS PROMISE. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION,') DUNEDIN, May 12. At the Wingatui racecourse on Saturday, J. G. Barnes, of the Civil Service harriers, won the fifteenth race for the Edmond cup in 17inin lOsee. The teams ’ race was won by Caversham No. 1, and the sealed handicap for the Mollor cup by the Civil Service* Barnes has conic to the fore as a runner onlv during the last year, and ran third to Tt. A. Hose and Priestly in the Wellington mile championship.
