DAIRY PRODUCE.

THE MONTH’S REVIEW. In their monthly report on the position Qt tile dairy produce market in London, A. H. Turnbull and Uo., <u Christchurch state: Butter. —As anticipated in our report last mouth, the butter market has shown a distinct firming during the past few weeks and has now reached as high as 179 s per cwt. Our latest aitvices are that although tk« market is quiet and finest is being freely offered at 198 s per cwt, if is quite probable that we shall see a further improvement in the near future. Although arrivals of New Zealand butter during the. next three months will be consider ably heavier than last year, til© statis tical position is sound. TTie -Northern Hemisphere spring is from three weeks to a month late and New Zealand butter is naturally reaping the* benefit of this delay in northern production. Cheese.—The market has continued to improve and quotations reached as high as 94s for coloured, but last- week the market showed a weaker tendency. Arrivals of new season's Canadian cheese have been delayed by the late spring, but we must expect fairly heavy quantities from the end of this month onwards. Arrivals of New Zealand cheese during July, August and September will be considerably heavier than last year and these increased arrivals from New Zealand together with the Canadian make, will probably prevent- any further improvement in cheese quotations.
