LAND SALES.

TRANSACTIONS IN THIS DISTRICT The value of “The Hawera Star” as an advertising medium in South Taranaki is emphasised in the sales of the undermentioned properties, 'advertised in this journal, as reported by Messrs Laurenson and Junes. Their report follows: Taking into consideration the low price of dairy produce, up to now th*re has been quite a steady demand for land, though there is still a fair margin between the value offered by purchasers and that required by_ the vendors. We report steady business 'and have transacted the following sales for 1927 600 acres at Pukengahu, from Mr Christofel to Mr C. White, Elt li am; eight acres from Wells) and Son, Manama, to Mr Lowry, of Hawera; 162 acres South Road, Hawera, from Mr A. C. Pease to Mr Ball anting-, of Ararata : the lease of Mr F. B. Corrigan’s 100 acre farm, Toakora, to Mr A. Sollicker. Manaia, together with all stock ,machinery and chattels; 100 acres lease- from Mr Robinson, Manaia, with all stock, etc., to Mr W. Treanor, Okaiawa • 102 and 12 acre® Native lease, Taikatu Road, from Mr Guthrie, Kaikohe,' to Mr Whitcombe, of Auroa; 98 acres, Kapuni, from Jolls Estate to Mr Gibson, of Wanganui; lease of 220 acres, Ararata, from Cooker Bros, to Mr W. Roberts, of Ararata; 98 acres lease at Hurleyville from Mr A. C. Pease to Mr Cameron, of Hawera; house and half-acre. Manaia, from Mrs BucWiand. Auckland, to Mr Robinson. n pKapuni; also several houses and sections in Hawera.
