HOCKEY.

LADIES’ TOURNAMENT.

The annual ladies’ hockey tournament was held at the Park to-day, when fourteen teams competed. Games were played in two divisions, each division, playing seven rounds. The weather was perfect and the ground inclined to be fast. Two spells of six minutes were played, with an interval of one minute. Full teams (11) took the field in each instance. The referees were Messrs V. F. Winter, V. Warner, F. Sage, C. 11. Free and A. J. Palmer. The trophy contested for was the -Outran Cup, the finalists in each division having to play off to decide the issue. Following were the results of the games played up to noon:— | SECTION A. First round—Ramblers 1 v. Manaia 0; Urenui' 2 v. Otakeho 0; Stratford Tech. B. 0 v. Waitara B 0. Second round. —N.P. Technical Old girls 1 v. Manaia 0; Ramblers 0 v. Otakeho 0; Urenui 1 v. Waitara B 0; B Division.'

First round. —Hawera Technical 0 v. Rovers 0; .Stratford Old girls 2 v. Inglewood Q; Stratford Technical A 2 v_ Waitara A 0. .Second Round. —Rovers 1 v. Kaponga 0; Hawera Technical 0 v. Stratford Old girls 0.
