Received 9.45 a.m. to-day. WASHINGTON, May 30. Neither the Navy nor the War Department has yet received any official report of the alleged plot to destroy the naval arsenal at Cavite (Philippine Islands), said to have been inspired by Soviet agents. Dispatches from. Manila declared that tlie object of the plot was to cripple the United States naval activities in the Philippines. According to Filipino agitators, in conjunction with Chinese Nationalists in the Philippines, planed to blow up Cavite arsenal to prevent the shipment of munitions to the American naval units in China. Officials of the Legionaries Del Trabago, whioh is the labour federation in the Philippines, denied that they were connected) with the plot, hut secret service agents are allegedly maintaining a close watch on Filipinos, Chinese and 1 others. They suspect an anti-American agitation.
