HAWERA BUS SERVICE.
TOWN TO THE STATION
A motor service which provides cheap and convenient conveyance from the commercial centre and other parts of Hawera to the railway station at hours suitable for meeting the mail trains was inaugurated to-day and should prove popular among the travelling public. A bus leaves the post office at 9.30 o’clock in the morning and at 5.30 o’clock in the evening, and proceeds to South Road and along to Argyle Street, by which it continues to High Street and by Union Street to the ■station. Passengers are gathered along this route. The bus returns to town after the arrival of the trains, via Princes Street. The latter trip could be conveniently used by residents of Nolantown who wished to proceed to town lon shopping excursions. Hie fare charged is reasonable. Particulars* of the exact time at which the bus arrives at the various points on I the route are advertised in this- issue by the Egmont Tourist Motors, Ltd., who have organised the service.
