BY CABLE—PBEB3 ASSOCIATION—COPYBIGHT. PARIS, May 29. Lindbergh, prior to his departure for Brussels, superintended the tank idling and final adjustments. He signed Lebourget’s golden book with oil-stain-ed hand. An enormous crowd, cheering enthusiastically, watched his departure. Many broke the cordon of troops, compelling Lindbergh to take off hurriedly to escape his admirers’ zeal. He- was escorted by a squadron of military aeroplanes. The airman flew over Paris, where the roofs and streers were packed with cheering crowds. Lindbergh dropped t message of thanks. He flew over Sends and dropped a message saluting the town’s courage in war-time. He was welcomed at Brussels with equal cordiality, tens q,f thousands cheering him "when he drove through the streets and placed a wreath op, the unknown soldier airmen’® memorial. : Their Majesties the King and Queen of the Belgians gave audience to Lindbergh and decorated him with the Cross of Knighthood and the Order of Leopold. LONDON, May 29. One hundred thousand men and women will greet Lindbergh, at Croydon .aerodrome this afternoon. Almost unlimited parking space has been provided, ag motorists will converge from all points. A half-mile harrier has been erected, behind which the public will watch the here taxi on ‘landing. ' The American ambassador, Mr A. B. Haughton, Sir Samuel Hoare- and Lady Hoare, and a crowd of distinguished people will welcome the happy airman.
