On Sunday morning (Colorado time) the broadcast station K.0.A., Denver, Colorado, owned by tlie General Electric Company, will broacast a special programme of Australian music immediately upon the completion of their Saturday night programme. At 1 a.m., K.O.A. will commence this transmission, which will be continued until 3 a.m.

Arrangements have been made to hold station 2FO, Sydney, silent for a short period on Sunday night, until it sce%* whetner the transmission from K.O.A. can be successfully picked up direct by listeners. With the co-operation of Amalgamated Wireless of Australasia, Ltd., 2FC will carry out a test reception at about 7.30 o’clock on Sunday evening, and, should the transmission be suffiviently good to re-broadcast, 2FC will then set their big station going with a view to re-broadcasting K.O.A.

Those listeners in New Zealand who may not be able to hear the American station’s direct transmission would have a much better chance of receiving the relay from 2FO|, Sydney. Special short wave sets will not bo required as K.O.A. will operate on a wave length of 332 metres, and 2FO will be on 442 metres.
