INDUSTRIAL MISSION.
PERMANENT CHAIRMAN APPOINTED. PREPARATION OF REPORT. (BY TELEGBAPH—PTVEBSI ASSOCIATION.) WASHINGTON, May 26. Mr. Guy has unanimously been elected the permanent chairman of the Australian Industrial Mission for consideration of the report on the motion of Mr. Grayndler. Mr. Guy states that members had settled down well and he feels most optimistic that he will obtain an unanimous ’report on the many points which will be of material value in Australia. The United States department of commerce was giving every facility to assist the mission and is providing officers to secure tlie required information. The mission proposes to leave for home about the middle of June, investigating eottoh and sugar products in Birmingham and New Orleans, also oil at Los Angeles, en route to San Francisco to pick up the steamer.
